No! I say do not bring them in. What is that folks want to be entertained by Demons? Clowns/Jesters are known throughout history, it is demonic worship hidden by funny faces. Bes (Bisu, Aha) was an ancient Egyptian dwarf god. He was a complex being who was both a deity and a demonic fighter. He was a god of war, yet he was also a patron of childbirth and the home, and was associated with sexuality, humour, music and dancing.

Demon Bes is also known by many other names as he went from culture to culture and throughout history; Aha, Amam, Hayet, Ihty, Mafdjet, Menew, Segeb, Sopdu and Tetenu, Bes or Hathor also known as mother of Horus.

Now about Pennywise from the authors point of view. And while IT prefers to mostly don the form of Pennywise, he is actually an entity of undetermined age and gender. IT originally existed in what Stephen King dubbed the Macroverse, a dimension outside of our own.

When the shapeshifter clown “IT” came crashing down to earth, in a great ominous ball of fire, who landed on earth. Humm coming down from the heavens in a fire ball from another dimension, tricking people, reads a lot like Revelation to me. The only thing I see thats missing from this Adversary is the Promise of a Rapture.
